last logon tracking in windows 2008 and 2003 server
Hello,
We're looking to decommission a few servers and I'm trying to discover the best way to see if users have logged into the server recently. The security log doesn't go back too far because of windows service acct logins filling it up. The user profiles section in system properties and the user folders (or in docs and settings for 2003) have mismatched modified dates (user profiles window having the more recent modified dates). Which is the most accurate way to see if someone is using the server and are there other outlets I haven't mentioned? Thanks!

Thanks, I'll check it out. Also, I should mention these servers aren't part of a domain.
