I have setup Lync server 2013 and lync edge and can access it externally via a Lync client.

I want to know how I can link it to MSN/Skype so I can contact external customers not in our domain.

Can anyone help?

MSN interop is supported by leveraging the Public IM Connectivity (PIC) configuration detailed in the TechNet deployment guides, but as Microsoft has been rolling out Skype client updates to all Live/MSN subscribers that configuration is probably moot at this point.

Skype interop is not yet available for Lync 2013.  As the product does not officially become publicly available until Feb 2013 I would look for an announcement from Microsoft on the status of Skype connectivity early next year.
