web concepts 101
I am a mainframe programmer with 20+ years and now am moving to a new role of web services programmer using IBM Message broker and its toolkit. Anyone have a good site or training reference to learn basic open system concepts ASAP? I want to jump right in. Someone already told me about www.w3schools.com. Anyone have any ideas on getting open systems concepts quickly so I can produce results quickly? The usage of the toolkit seems simple enough. I need background concepts

Thanks for the links. I had asked about a reference to learn open system platform basic concepts such as how servers work, what really is an endpoint, WSDLs, cardinality, etc. I just need to understand the principles that drive work on any open systems not just broker.

While these links are helpful I still have not found a good reference that explains open systems concepts in a progression that begins at the basics. I will look to college curriculum next as that is where we all learn first when deciding on a career in open systems programming.
