How can I fix the white space on either side of my page?

Head out to http://loosecannonfitness.com/about.php. When you expand the site to the brower's greatest width, you can see a little white space on either side of the site. It doesn't show up unless you're looking at something greater than 1600 pixels, but I still want to eliminate it.

My stylesheet is attached. How do I fix it?

or set the website to strech if its above 1600px

Thanks, friend! I had tried the background-color option prior to posting this question and it made the entire screen go black. I tried it again, prompted by your suggestion and while I'm not sure what I did differently, I was able to make it work.
