PDF creator
Every time a user or administrator login to Windows server 2003 while launching the PDFCreator getting window like "Please wait while windows configures PDFCreator 0.9.8". ONLY for administrators this configuration will complete and PDF creator will launch. However, for users this congiguration will fail.
Question:
Why PDF creator is trying to configure every time a user or admin try to open or use print to PDF opetion on server. Also, we notices on the server eventvwr it says "Unable to find HKEY_Current_user/Software / PDFcreator/Autosave driectory" not available. Also, we check autosave is not enabled in Adobe PDF creator software.
Troubleshooting:
Tried reinstalling PDF creator
Gave full access to the PDFCreator.exe

This is a citrix sever and we have users connect to the server through ICA channel. Application installed by a administrator manually on the server. We have restarted the server before and after install. Application reinstall also same issue.

Actually this is not a Abobe product. PDF creator is free application.
Ok then I would think that that product will not work on a citrix server.
What happens if you logon to the server directly with your account ?
Have you tried this product on a local machine first?

First: This happens only on some citrix servers. Other citrix servers works fine.

what happens if you do start run and type PDFCreator.exe then hit enter?

Does control panel installed programs list this product as installed?

The only solution for this issue I could see is, uninstall and wipe the registry for PDF creater and reinstall...
Adobe products usually requires a restart of the OS after updates and installs.
Was the server restarted after the install?
How many users logon to this server?
We do not allow any user to logon to a server to run an application.
Have you thought about installing this on a windows computer?
