Windows Server Update Services 3.0

I recently re-installed WSUS 3.0 on my SBS 2008 server. It appears to be working but a search for updates on the server or a workstation results in an error. I can connect online for updates to Microsoft updates. I'd like to get the WSUS feature repaired so that updates can be downloaded automatically.

Also did you make sure that you have this update installed(on WSUS server)??

Please share the error message. Also are we getting any events in the event log?

I haven't installed that update on the re-install since it was the one that first crashed my WSUS application last June.

Don

You must install this update or wsus clients will not be able to get updates from your WSUS.

The WU agent will be mismatched between clients and server until you do so.

I ran the cleanup wizard, created the backup and restore batch files, then downloaded the replacement update. It all worked perfectly.
