Hi. i am an Exchange Admin, looking to move my career to the next level.  My question, - Should i  go for Vmware and then Exchange 2013 and Lync 2013 or jump straight to Exchange 2013 with Lync 2013

I have already downloaded Lync 2010 and played about with it and i do like it  but all jobs that ask for Lync also want U to have VOIP. knowledge. Dont Fancy learning Cisco as well.

I am also learning and handling Lync 2010, basic knowledge of VOIP is enough. For LYNC admin you need to understand the concepts, secondary Lync setup is a one time job, if configured properly there is hardly anything you need to do on server side everyday.

Maximum you need to fetch reports etc.

Rest comes with day to day working exp.
