Running 3dm2 on ESXI 4.1

Hi. I'm trying to setup 3ware's 3DM2 RAID management on my VMware ESXI 4.1 installation.

So far I've tried to install the RPM from the console however ESXI doesn't support RPM installations.

Next I'm going to try using the VMware update manager on VSphere to see if I can find a VMWare package. Is this the proper method?

If not, how does one go about setting up 3ware RAID management software on a ESXI 4.1 installation?

I'm afraid ESXi is not Linux, the 3ware's 3DM2 RAID management is designed for ESX ONLY!

If not, how does one go about setting up 3ware RAID management software on a ESXI 4.1 installation?

if there is not a specific version for ESXi, it's not possible, unless there are specific drivers or CIM management from a VM or Workstation to do this.
