o, that might be the problem. This joystick is about 6 years old so it probably isn't windows 7 compatible, is it? if this is the case can you recommend an inexpensive joystick?
☠ MASQ ☠
Probably not - a lot of controllers built with XP drivers are unsupported - do you know the make & model?
Go for USB
Some people refer to gamepads as joysticks but if you want the old school stick with thumb and trigger buttons I'd recommend anything from Logitech that supports Windows Games (around $25)
Hardcore gaming has pushed traditional joystick controller prices and you could pay over $100 for a stick for some flight simulators.
If it doesn't have the "Games for Windows" branding or doesn't explicitly say it is compatible with Windows 7 don't assume it is.
