GNS3 Dynamips Error

Hello Experts,

Has anyone come across an issue with Dynamips when you attempt open a .net file and you're firs asked to choose the image (see attachment GNS3Message) and when you click ok you get the error message saying 'no file or directory? (see GNS3Error)

If so, can you please tell me how to resolve it - the image is actually there.

Cheers

Carlton

Does the directory and file listed exist?

That is, do you really have a C:\Users\User\Downloads\Cisco.IOS.Big Collection\C3640 directory that contains the file you specified?

Thanks for responding. Yes I do have that file a directory listed. Its so weird...
I would look at the .net file and make sure there are no other files/directory that it is looking for that may not exist.

The other possibility is that it does not like file/directory names with blanks in them.  I typically stay away from embedding blanks in files names because they do cause problems sometimes.
gilt,

You make a good point. If you take a look the attachment it states that its looking for the image in /IOS Images. However, the alternative path does exist.

I don't believe I have any blanks in the file names
According to what you posted the directory does.  It looks like you have:

C:\Users\User\Downloads\Cisco.IOS.Big Collection\

Where there is a space between the "g" in Big and the "C" in Collection.
Hi Gilt,

I see it. Going to change location to one with no spaces, however I think I will get same response
Gilt,

Got the same error message :-(
Gilt,

I get the same message no matter what image I download from the site http://gns3vault.com/
