The price tag, $144 for a single license, was unexpected. &nbsp;I am not adverse to paying for a client application, but given my limited requirements (after all, what I was using is free), That price is a steep. &nbsp;Is there an alternative that costs less than what it cost to upgrade to Windows 8?

Fresh install of Windows 8 Pro.  Installed Quick VPN 1.4.2.1 to connect to work Linksys RV042 router.  It goes all the way to "verifying network" and times out and asks if I want to wait for the remote gateway to respond. This appears to be a known issue.  Is there a workaround?
