MAPS and Microsoft Office 2010 Volume License Keys?  Remote Desktop Service / TS

We are setting up a test RDS server machine with 2008 R2 to make sure our company's application works aok.   We also need Word/Excel on the RDS since our application does a lot of fun reports in these office apps.   We want to ready to support our clients if necessary for when they do their own deployments.  Internal use only, our application's development testing and support.

When we went to install Office 2010 on the RDS server we discovered that our MAPS product license key would not take, seems we need a VLK to test Office on RDS.

We've been a Microsoft Action Pack MAPS Partner subscriber for a few years.   We are not currently a Technet or MSDN subscriber but could go for one of these if we need to.

Questions:  Do we have to purchase Office 2010 VLK 5-users?  +/- $2500 :(.    Is there any MAPS or MS Partner "benefit" that we as developers can use to get the Office VLK?   Maybe via Technet/MSDN?   Any price break anywhere?  Anything?

Thanks!

No breaks on MAPS but maybe SPLA would work better in your case than VL, particularly the try-before-you-buy feature. This will operate on RDSH similar to VL. You would probably qualify for it, but maybe a call to your local licensing agent or reseller might clear up any issues?
Hope that helps

SPLA was a no go since that program is all about hosting and saas which we're not involved with.  We also tried to reach out to MAPS for an alternative or some break but they said no.  We ended up purchasing one of Office 2010 VLK packs.
