in a sort
.Header = x1No     (or it can be x1Yes)

does anyone know what value and type are those two?

using the sort in VBA code, if i set a break the check the values both return =empty
this seems mighty strange.

I have a input box that lets the macro user pick the sheet they want, whether there is a header on it, which column to sort and which columns to sum.

I was hoping to set the .Header in the sort with a variable.

Ah, I see.
The second character is a lower case L, not a digit.
