How can I close the gap on a header on my wordpress blog?

I have added a header to my website but there is a white space above and below the header that doesnt need to be there and makes my site look less attractive. Is there any way in the editior files etc I can close the gap.

My website is http://www.howtogetridoffrecklesfast.org/

There is a 1.5cm gap above the below the header I would really like to remove but am stuck as to how I can make such a change. Please advise.

I managed to resolve by adding the following modifications to my custom.css.
 

#header {
      clear: both;
      margin: -10px auto 0;
      padding: 0;
      }

#head-content {
      margin: 0 auto;
      padding: 10px 0;
      width:100%;
      max-width:960px;
      }

#page {
      padding:0px 0;
      clear: both;
      margin: 0 auto;
      background:#fff;
      }
0
