Hi there,
I have recently migrated to exchnage server 2010 and I think I have properly migrated all users etc.  While uninstalling exchange 2003 I get:
'The component mic exchange services cannot be assigned remove because one or more users currently use a mailbox on this server............'
-I checked all/any user from AD to find who is still using exchange 2003, found none.
As in frustration I had removed all datastores from exchange 2003 ESM.  Its my luck the uninstall still gives the same error.  I need help please.
Thanks

You probably have a mail enabled user somewhere.

http://exchange.sembee.info/2003/migration/unused-mailboxes.asp

Mail disable them and then the uninstall will continue.

Simon.
