SMTP Server on Windows 7 to facilitate sending scans via email from Ricoh
I am helping a friend who had an SBS 2003 server and recently move to a hosted email server that isn't working as an SMTP relay for their Ricoh copier/scanner. Basically, they used to be able to scan on the machine and have it use the Exchange server to send the email to the user's email box. Now that they don't have a local server, they function doesn't work.
I am looking for a simple program we can install on a Windows 7 workstation that will send out the scans via email. In other words, I just want to config the copier with the IP of the workstation, and maybe a user/pass if necessary, and each user can scan to email, using that workstation to send the email, like thExchangege server used to do. The copier doesn't support SSL or TLS and I've tried using Gmail's free SMTP relay, but that doesn't work.
Any suggestions?

Thanks. I just looked into installing SMTP via IIS in Win 7, but it looks like it requires a server to send the email through. Does SMTP in IIS have the ability to send mail directly? If not, what can I install on that Win7 box that will?
