SBS 2008 Sync

My logon sync on a Windows 8 workstation has errors due to it trying to sync with folders in my server folder redirections that no longer exist.  I've tried removing these in sync center on the workstation but they still exist.  Might be a caching problem.

Any suggestions re fixing this issue?

Removing the cache will help, but I couldn't find the confirmation if this procedure is valid also for Windows 8.

Here is the procedure for Windows Vista and Windows 7:

Regarding the following links there is no big difference between W7 and W8 CSC, so the procedure in previous link should be valid.

The "Fix It" didn't work with Windows 8 but the registry edit did.
