Hi, I have to set mail alerts for more than 1000 users in Announcement list in SharePoint 2007 and for that have to add individual ids in alert me option which is very time consuming process.

Is there any way to add a group or something which contains these 1000 users so that in single shot we can add?

Hi,
easiest way would be an email enabled AD group (not a distribution list).
