Can't unhide XLS & Doc Files on Windows Server 2008 that was mapped from Windows XP Workstation that was infected by a worm, That workstation was replace with a Windows 8 workstation. The question is so what would be the best way to unhide these files on the Windows Server 2008.

Copy the files to a workstation, use unhide to fix the attributes, delete the files from the server, then copy them back.
