Is there any Desktop Search installed? If so, disable the add-in and restart Outlook
Have you tried with Online and Cache mode ?
Confirm the drive hasn't been compressed or isn't running out of space ? (All drives)
Confirm only 1 AV/anti-malware/anti-spyware app is running and Updated (Try disabling, with restart of machine and check)
