Main office and 5, 6 branch offices. Currently each office has a sql server with pharmacy software installed. Sql server 2000 & server 2003 r2 64 bit runs on servers. At about 15 users from each office access software using xp clients.
Client needs to virtualize or centralize servers in to main office & setup clients to access servers from branch offices.
High availability method should include in solution.
How many servers do we buy? , which hardware configuration ?
Vmware or hyper-v ? Which method for high availability?
How is storage consideration?
What are the best ways clients can access software in main office? Clints should print to local pos printers.
What are the other things do we consider in this case?
Your any of suggestions greately appreciated
Thank you.
