I am helping my nephew with producing podcasts and he is disapointed on how the podcasts make him sound "very young".  Is there any software available to alter the voice slightly...It does not have to be anything fancy as this is just a fun project for us..but a project that may be derailed if I can not alter the voice on the podcasts...

The Audacity program (free) has a "Change Pitch" effect which would probably suit the initial need.  Simply load the audio track into Audacity and then use the Effects menu's Change Pitch option.

Audacity: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/
Change Pitch manual page: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Change_Pitch

Note: just in case the Change Pitch option is not there when you first load Audacity, you may need to download the LADSPA plugins: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/plugins
