Hi.

I have this page:
http://gapla.cat/test/capdeguardia/llistat_partes2.php
in which I have a link "GENERAR EXCEL (CSV)" which downloads a CSV file.

On Internet Explorer 8 this link doesn't seems to work. I attach the files that generated this HTML. It's a very simple php file on which I have hard-coded the database results for your convenience.

The llistat_partes2.php is the one that has the link, and the generar_excel2.php file is the one that generates the csv file.

Thanks.

It works fine for me in Chrome and IE (using IE9 in IE 8 mode both quirks mode and strict.)  It may be a setting on your browser.  Have a look at this link and see if it is helpful.  It seems to be a browser problem to me.

Thanks smadeira. I think I found something: I have eliminated the target="_blank" attribute from the link and now seems to work, but this is strange, isn't it ? Maybe is a problem of Internet Explorer 8 version ?

If you do a quick google search of ie8 target="_blank" you will see that this has been seen by many people although there doesn't appear to be a clear reason as to why it happens or how to fix it.  Perhaps reinstalling ie8 or making sure the lastest updates are applied would resolve it.
