Win2008 WSUS server (up to date)<br />
Win7 sp1 clients<br />

I have authorized IE9 to install via WSUS on my Win7 clients, the update is being found but hangs downloading at 0%. Then errors with code 80244023.<br />
<br />
Downloading the windows update troubleshooter runs and gives the 2 results:<br />
'Potential Windows Update database error detected 0x80070057'<br />
'Windows update components must be repaired'<br />
<br />
It fixes both these and the download and install then works fine.<br />
<br />
Obviously this manual fix is not a solution for my 500+ machines so what to do with all my machines.....? a script to repair the components and clear the database or something?<br />

WSUS IE9 error

Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2, based on the Microsoft Vista codebase, is the last 32-bit server operating system released by Microsoft. It has a number of versions, including including Foundation, Standard, Enterprise, Datacenter, Web, HPC Server, Itanium and Storage; new features included server core installation and Hyper-V.
