Outlook 2013 Meeting Requests arrive as plain text

The title pretty much sums it up.  Meeting requests sent to my Outlook 2013 (via POP3) calendar arrive as plain text.  I've searched and come up with nothing.

I have several other users on this mail domain (all POP3) and meeting requests sent between them all work correctly.  The problem is definitely on my machine.

Thanks.

If everyone elses is okay, but yours

I would tend to think it may be a view

You could close outlook and re-open using

start>Run>Outlook.exe /cleanviews

Otherwise, a sure fire way to fix, would be to recreate your outlook profile

The cleanviews switch didn't work, so I bit the bullet and deleted/recreated my Profile.  The first two meeting requests I tried worked fine, then the problem resurfaced.

I'm starting to think that this may be linked to the fact that I am accessing the same email account via IMAP on one of my tablets (doesn't support POP).  Would this cause the problem?

Finally uninstalled Outlook, re-installed, created new .pst files for my email accounts, and imported all the contacts, calendar events, and messages.  Calendar invitations work fine now.
