Invoice Templates: Adding totals for non-taxable and taxable items (QB 2013 Premier)

How can I make a custom invoice template that has multiple totals across the bottom:

Non-taxable, Taxable, Sales Tax, Total.

Native invoice templates in QB V2013 (and in prior versions) will not do that. Each invoice line should have its source in an item (sales items) and the items indicate what is taxable and what it not. You can show taxable / non-taxable on each line.

But then the tax total is at the bottom under the dollar amounts. I see a number of different invoice formats (from a number of different systems) in my consulting work and this approach is very standard.

If you need the customization you want, you would have to see if there is a third party add-on to format invoices.

Thank you, I will look for a third party template to meet our requirements and if no better solution arises shortly, I will award the points to you.

We have not yet found a third party template to do this. However, I think we have been able to create a template that works - accounting department is testing. Will keep you posted.
