Hello experts , I have a customer with 50x users on a windows 2008 Domain controller network, there are a mixture of operating systems, xp and windows 7. Recently they had a Xerox 7120 installed by a printer dealer. The printer supplier wanted to install on the Domain controller directly , we told him we prefer not to install directly but installed directly via the users.
The problem we have seen from running it on a server is that the service can crash the print queue & then no one can print until we remote in & clear it
However we have learnt that there is a colour/ black & white reporting tool available and told that unless that is run on the server it cannot properly organise billing cycles for the colour vs black & white prints
Whats best practice?
How do other businesses run these reporting tools? thanks in advance
