having some issues with RDweb, ive installed remote desktop services, RDweb gateway and RDweb roles, created a self assigned cert, added the cert to the site bindings, installed the cert on the remote pc, added programs to the remote apps ( paint, calc, remote desktop ) but after i log into the rdweb from the remote pc - under the remote apps it continues to "searching for remote apps" and never populates. ive gone through it like 5 times now to verify all settings and everything is correct. what am i missing?

this is a test environment and im using dyndns with port forwarding on the router to access rdweb.

for a production environment, should i use different virtual server for Terminal Services?

im new to the whole Remote Desktop Services with moderate experience in terminal services.

Start by removing RD Gateway role, it is not required with a single RDS server and it conflicts with RD WebApp for the same port 443.

ok, i will remove it later and update you. i facepalmed myself when i realized i was using firefox to connect to rdweb when i swapped over to IE it populated the remote apps - however, when i click on one of the apps (paint) it attempts to connect and gives me an error stating that it cannot find the remote computer. RD Web Gateway issue? or could it be with the RDS Broker not being installed?

RDS Broker is not required. And, yes you should test with IE. Other browsers are not fully supported in RDWeb
