" page not found" connection to nw excellent

With a Kindle fire and connected to wireless network with excellent connection, cannot see any web pages or cloud services. "Web page not found" for everything.  

Help.

Hello

Open a command prompt and type without the quotes
"ping 8.8.8.8"

if you a result like this
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=57ms TTL=44
...is something wrong with your browser

if you a result like this
Request timed out.
...you do not have a live internet connection and you have to check your router

Sorry, now I realized that is a tablet.

First check your router and if everything are OK you should do what als315 wrote

The wireless connection to a working connection says excellent.  The android phone I am on and the homeowners apple desktop are connecting fine.  I will do that DHCP process.  Thanks.

I am not sure what led to the success, but we are finally connected.  Although signal strength was excellent, I disconnected and tried to connect to another non encrypted network, which did not connect.  I then tried our network again, got excellent ss again, and although there was one tab with web page not found, somehow I was able to connect to amazon successfully.
