Application to view RTSP Stream of multiple cameras

I am looking for a way an application can view a single RTSP stream for 10 seconds (give or take) and then switch to the next RTSP stream.. Basically an app that can rotate through RTSP streams in a full screen sort of view.

We have a linux os connected to a TV that is connected to the network. We would like it to stream the video to the tv's. The only way I know is to open VLC and open network stream but needing to view additional streams and automate it.

Any ideas? where do I start?

You should be able to use JMF for that. Not sure about the hardware interface though. You might want to get your looping algo sorted first in any case.

So I am not really a linux guy and a programmer.. Yea terrible. I would be happy to pay someone to work with me on the side on this. Any ideas on who to call?

There are several sources you could check out. If you wanted something developed in code, there are sites offering people who undertake such work. Google 'rent a coder' as a start.

Then there is probably free software from places like Sourceforge. Then what looks to me like the cheapest and quickest route I can think of off the top of my h., and that is go to an electronic components warehouse and buy all the kit  and the chances are there is a CD with it that will let you interface to your PC, or probably just a dongle that translates the signal straight to your screen. Those are my thoughts, but there are certainly guys in other TAs on EE who will have better ideas; try the hardware section and see what they say.
