FM - Hyperlink in an Email using Exchange SMTP?
Is there a way to create a hyperlink in a Filemaker email script that uses Exchange SMTP? For example, I can put the following path in the email, but not as a hyperlink.
file:/R:/SuperContainer/Fi les/TENANT S/KS100170 /5918_0012 /DeptOB/Re vision1/KS 100170_591 8_0012_Dep tOB_rev1.p df
Thank you.
file:/R:/SuperContainer/Fi
Thank you.
I would assume it would need to be formatted as a hyperlink, meaning starting with http or https followed by IP address of your server and the correct path to the document.

Yes, but don't you have to figure out a way to make the email HTML? I can't see how to do it from an SMTP script.
Also, tried an http format, but cannot render it in a FM email. I keep getting the error, "A number, text constant, field name or "(" is expected here. I think it sees the slash going from left to right as a division symbol.
"\\upc-fs1\r-drive\SuperCo ntainer\Fi les\TENANT S\" &
fk_PropCode & fk_EntityNum & fk_BldgNum & "\" &
fk_UnitID & "_" & fk_TenantNum & "\" & fk_DocName & "\Revision" & RevNumber & "\" &
fk_PropCode & fk_EntityNum & fk_BldgNum & "_" & fk_UnitID & "_" & fk_TenantNum & "_" &
fk_DocName & "_rev" & RevNumber & FileExtension

Sorry, got hit with a crisis. Will, thanks; I did not know about the escape backslash in FM. The hyperlink text worked fine once I used the escape backslash.
