Dear Experts,

We currently are aggressively looking ways to improve our services and solutions we provide to our clients. Cloud computing solutions is a sub-task in this project.

Box.com and Office Share-point caught our attention however we would like a broader view on the cloud world and want to find out best solution providers. For instance we were very impressed with box.com . If we believe in and feel very confident with the products we may even think of developing further business relations with them. In this regard I would like to ask you opinions. Please share your insights, ideas, experiences, pros and cons of your recommendations so we can find one or more solution providers to work with in the world of cloud computing.

Thank you for your time and assistance in advance.
Kindest Regards
SG

there is no right or wrong answer in this field.
as long as your price and business case stand it will be a good choice. Either Box or office sharepoint.

I am more towards microsoft but because of my job nature.

without knowing your business case, it will v. hard to recommend anything specific.

There are lots of them out there but i heard alot about Amazon EC2

http://aws.amazon.com/ec2/

There is still a lot of discussion out there about the securities and level of control over the data in cloud. There are lots of SLA depending on the kind of business. Most of the organization are still not ready for hosting their confidential data on remote clouds

You can even have a look at Microsoft Windows Azure

SG,
Cloud computing attracted so much media attention lately. Nowadays every mouse and keyboard are "cloud enabled", and cloud computing means extremely diverse things to different people.

Are you looking for "cloud services" to resell?
Do you have your own products that you want to extend into the cloud or integrate with existing services?
Are you looking to replace your datacenter with a virtual dc in the cloud?
Who are your customers and what do you want to offer them?

Dear shalomc, thank you for your interest in my question.

As an IT company we would like to offer our clients "solutions" and "services". So in this regard we would like to aim to one or two cloud solutions and as soon as we can we would like to become experts in these products.  Yes we are strongly interested in re-seller or partnership programs with these solution providers.

ps.Currently we work with ms sharepoint.
