Smartphone procedure - secure submitting of files

I am trying to find an easy way where I can have users submit photos/audio/files from their smartphone to a host on a file server. The easiest way I can think of would be to set up an SFTP host and find an app that adds functionality similar to how Facebook and various other apps have a dedicated "Send photo to Facebook" except it would "Send to folder XYZ".

I have not found any way to do this. Does anybody know of an app that can do this or something similar? Or any other ideas to achieve the same result?

I have not made a choice on hardware, so iOS/Android/Windows Mobile are all options.

"I have not made a choice on hardware, so iOS/Android/Windows Mobile are all options. "

That would make a difference unless you make a mobile website that will upload files.

I'm not saying any solution needs to be compatible with all of those platforms, I'm saying that I am not limited to any. If a solution would only work with iOS devices, I'll be buying iOS devices for my users.

I would prefer to have a discussion with the author than to force a decision.

"Code up your own" is not a solution. If it were, that would be the answer to every question asked on experts-exchange.

If I had asked "what's the best way to build a solution that..." and the answer was "create a asp.net mobile website..." then it's a fine answer.
