Hi,

Under IIS MANAGER>>SERVER>>SITES>>DEFAULT WEB SITE>>CONNECT>>SSL SETTINGS>>there is an option require SSL that was checked with client certificates -ignore

remove the tick from Require SSL

Thanks for you help, but the  require SSL  isn't selected.
Can one rebuild the default website?

Hi,
Do not build website..

Try below steps and let us know...

Open 'Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager' by going to Start > Administrative Tools.

Expand  IIS manager (SERVER\Administrator)

Click 'Application Pools'

You should see a list of application pools. For me, ASP.NET v4.0 and ASP.NET v4.0 Classic were set to v4.0 of .NET Framework Version.

To change the .NET framework version, double click the application pool.
SET AS FOLLOWS:

ASP.NET v4.0 = v4.0
ASP.NET v4.0 Classic = v4.0
CertEnrollmentAppPool = v4.0
CertWebService_App = v4.0
Classic .NET AppPool = v2.0
Client_App = v4.0
DefaultAppPool = v2.0
InitialConfiguration_App = v4.0
MacWebService_App = v4.0
RemoteAppPool = v4.0
RootApp = v4.0

So, the only application pool that should be v2.0 is Classic .NET AppPool and DefaultAppPool

Hi,

Have you applied any windows update or service pack on server ?

techdienstAuthor Commented:
the server is up to date, don't think it started after an update.
Think it whent wrong earlier.
When I apllied the fix in  http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Server_Software/Web_Servers/Microsoft_IIS/Q_27382252.html
this fixed the abvious problems and work continued.
Afterwards other programs where added and work fine. Thas why I can't fall back on a backup.
But this item showed up when trying to add  new pc to the server.
At the moment manually added the pc to the domain, but its now not vissable in the dashboard nor in the backups.
In the logs I can't see any  error or warning
tried to acces the  server\connect site again (from server),  still the error  added to logs
But I do get a certificate warning (self issued  remotewebbacess.com )
Think its missing to?  can't find it in the public folder
But no certificate error when accessing from foreign location)

Tried some stuff, without any result
still the 404 error whentclient pc goes to   https://server/connect   or https://ip/connect
but https://server/connect//images/Logo_blk.png  gives the  picture
so I think it's the startscript that isn't working (maybe  still a issue with de .net framework?

Hi,

1) Internet Explorer > Internet options > Security > Trusted sites (or Local intranet, forgot
     which one) > Sites >

https://my-server-name or server-IP

> Add >  OK

2) Also please check are you able to connect from other desk.

3) please try troubleshooting tips from microsoft

checked a lot of stuff, but think it was maken a rule in the firewall of sbse for port 65510 that fixed it.  The connect website opens now and the connect wizard starts
thanks for your support gaurav05
