It's likely the audio used in the video or a divx codec in avi is missing, you need divx codecs in your avi.
recode any avi using a divx codec to divx or Xvid avi, and yes you can reencode without losing the avi to divx avi
Which video are the problem?
Drop them onto gspot to analyse them post back a snapshot

All my avi I have on a USB or external drive must have either Xvid or divx encoded avi.
series 6 Samsung TV supported video formats from USB
series 6 Samsung TV supported video formats from USBThe tool I use is called Super, stands for Simplified Universal Player Encoder & Renderer
as for the ad-ware reports I simply don't install the toolbar, say no to it and the install will continue. I have used it for years with no problems.
But it is entirely up to you

I select avi as the out put and choose divx or Xvid for all and drop my avi on and hit encode, I can drop as many on as I like
Settings I useOtherwise you could use divx plus converter

divx plus converterXilisoft DivX Converter free to try 20 bucks to buy, good buy.
