Samsung TV won't play some videos

Hello,
i Have series 6 Samsung TV when i try to play videos using my usb harddrive it play almost every thing but some of them dont play i try to convert them to many different formats but the problem is the same my question is :
1 - Do you have any application that used to convert the files to be used on samsung tv ?
2 - Is it possible to convert the video from one codecs to another codex whithout changing the container ? Who?

It's likely the audio used in the video or a divx codec in avi is missing, you need divx codecs in your avi.
recode any avi using a divx codec to divx or Xvid avi, and yes you can reencode without losing the avi to divx avi
Which video are the problem?
Drop them onto gspot to analyse them post back a snapshot

All my avi I have on a USB or external drive must have either Xvid or divx encoded avi.

as for the ad-ware reports I simply don't install the toolbar, say no to it and the install will continue. I have used it for years with no problems.

I select avi as the out put and choose divx or Xvid for all and drop my avi on and hit encode, I can drop as many on as I like
