Publisher 2010 does not detect plotter

Have two end users with brand new Dell Optiplex Win 7 Pro PC with Office 2010. I have all the current Windows and Office updates installed.

Word and Excel detect the Cannon iPF825 plotter, Publisher continues to query the printer. Other office printers Publisher will detect though.

The plotter vendor has spoken with Cannon and they do not have a solution to this problem. There has to be some sort of issue with the print driver and Publisher if I would have to guess.

I have the issue narrowed down to the print driver. It appears this is a common problem. Publisher is a bit picky I have read on other sites with print drivers. I am trying to get a hold of the vendor for older drivers.

So Canon sent me the new driver disk. The drivers are not on their website but the updated disk resolved the issue for me.
