Office 2007 e-mail signature problem

Hi Experts

I have made an e-mail signature for staff in my company. In outlook 2007 my Director has pointed out that when he starts to type it does not 100% line up with the signature.

Its only by about 1 or two characters but he has to manually align them on every e-mail.
Is there a way to set via the ruler where text is to start in an e-mail via a default.

I have gone into the signature via options but i have the e-mail signature text already as far left as possible. The problem is when text starts it seems to start 1-2 characters before the signature text,
