Hi guys,

I am having some trouble with folder permissions on IIS7

I have a number of application pools all set to identity "networkservice"

I am running in to permissions issues where I cannot upload files to the server / edit the web.config file through wordpress


can some tell me what permission to grant I have set all the permissions i can see with no joy

That looks like a folder permission.  I believe you will want to look at the IIS permission to allow the service to make changes to the existing folder.

Can you post the error you are receiving?  That will be more helpful than the folder permissions.

Permalink structure updated. Remove write access on web.config file now!

Download failed. Destination directory for file streaming does not exist or is not writable.

I fixed it by setting a miss var in wp-config
