Voltage SecureMail 5.0 Outlook Add-In not valid

I'm working on a modified installation of Voltage SecureMail for Office 2013.  While it is unsupported, Voltage will run in Office 2013 and in Windows 8.  I had to use Orca to remove the prerequisite checks for O/S and Office version, which allowed the program to install.

However, now the Outlook add-in is not loading, and Outlook will not let me add it manually.

The current solution we have is to install Office 2010 first, then install Voltage, then upgrade to Office 2013.  I am hoping to create a solution whereby it can be installed directly into Office 2013.

Any ideas for forcing Outlook to accept the add-in?

Literally seconds after posting this I had the brainwave to export the registry key from an existing upgrade installation and import it on the test box.

Rebooted the machine, opened Outlook, the add-in was loaded.
