Do you need this for current print job or to get global printer counter?

For current print job follow this links and look for PagesPrinted in  JOB_INFOx structure:

To access printers internal counter you need to use esc/pcl commands. Some printer manufacturer bring sdk which can helps but solution does not cover all printers.
