windows firewall disabled

may be because norton antivirus

attached is the error message when I try to enable firewall

can not enable firewall

i ran the 3 microsoft fixit

and still same firewall error

Click the Start button.
In the Start Search box, type in cmd
Right click on the Command Prompt in the search results and select Run as Administrator.
Click OK or Yes to the UAC prompt.


Use the following netsh command to turn the Firewall off:

netsh advfirewall set allprofiles state off

Use the following netsh command to turn the Firewall back on:

netsh advfirewall set allprofiles state on

Use the following netsh command to reset it back to its default settings:
 
netsh advfirewall reset

Either let Norton Manage your Firewall or remove Norton and use Windows Firewall. I would leave well enough alone if it's working OK.

I have troubleshooted many options

so this is the correct answer for me
