CRM vs EDI

Hi,

Per my understanding, Every company has an ERP (=Electronic Resource Planning).

There is a BRIDGE to do the transaction from one company (say it company A with ERP A) to other company (say it company B with ERP B); the bridge is EDI(=Electronic Data Interchange).

There is CRM (= Customer Relationship Software), such as Microsoft Dynamic

My questions: What is the difference between EDI and CRM? A little bit explanation (with your own wording) will be helpful please

Thank you

CRM = Customer Relationship Management. CRM systems are for managing interactions with customers and managing the sales lifecycle, marketing and services issues.

ERP system are more for accounting, finance and manfacturing.

EDI is more of standard for electronic document interchange.

Does this help?
