MS SharePoint 2010 combo box on data entry view

The combo box uses a query for states.  The data entry view store the entered data into SharePoint 2010 list.

Hi,
could you please explain your question?
Is your goal to have the state column be a drop down?
Then just configure your column in your SharePoint list to be of type "Choice", select "Drop-Down menu" as display choice and enter the available values in the text box.
