I want to set both the Parameter Visibility & Allow Nulls settings of a parameter based on the selection of another parameter.  Is there a way to do this? If so, how?

I'm afraid not.  As you've probably already noticed, the report parameter properties such as the two you've mentioned do not support expressions and thus cannot be made dynamic.

If you really need this behavior, the only option that I see is to develop a custom application.  You'd use the ReportViewer control to display the report and use some other controls (textboxes, combo, ...) to program the parameter area yourself.  In that case you have full control over the parameter behavior. So, depending on your development background or perhaps you've got colleagues who can help with that, this might be the way to go.

BTW: custom app can also be a solution to your other question if you find the workarounds too hard/annoying/... to get working.

Thanks ValentinoV. It was worth asking. I have an alternate solution, though it's not ideal. Thanks again.

You're welcome!

Would your alternate solution be interesting for others?  If yes, would you mind sharing it?  Thanks!
