Volume Shadow Copy Error - Can I stop it?

VSS on one of our file servers keeps throwing the following error (see attached) several times a day.  Since we do our backups with CommVault, is it possible to turn VSS off.  Or what's the best course of action?  Thanks!

Hope the above articles can help depending on the Windows version ...... You can turn off the VSS service but i guess this will affect your Backups ... however you can check that

Thanks for the KBs.  These were somewhat informative.
I resolved the issue by disabling the service and then re-setting to Manual; rebooted server and the error in the Event Viewer went away.

I've requested that this question be deleted for the following reason:

Answer was too generic and I ended up resolving it myself by rebooting the server

Dont mind but if you take backup of any sort it wont work as backups depend on VSS again :(
