I have a end user with a Canon iPF825 plotter that can not print through Publisher 2010. The vendor has suggested using another driver. Does anyone have a driver alternative that they know will work with this plotter >?

To answer this specific question, we need to know what the OS is.  And, of course, this is a very specific printer and a very specific application...so odds of getting somebody who has used Publisher 2010 with a Canon iPF825 is low.

That in mind, I'll offer some generic suggestions:

1)  Canon has multiple drivers.  You might want to start here if you have not already done so.  The imagePROGRAF driver might work while the HDI driver does not.  You may also want to install the Office plug-in if you have not already done so.

2)  There is a firmware update that could be useful to install if not already done.

3)  Canon tech support could be a great resource for something like this.  On high-end printers like the iPF825, they generally provide much better support than on consumer-grade stuff.

MDS-COS,

Thanks for the reply.  I spoke with the vendor this morning and could not get it resolved. I took your advise and called Canon myself directly. I finally got down to the bottom of the issue. Canon is aware of the problem in Publisher with this particular plotter driver and is about to release an update sometime this week.

I have the same problem.
I updated the firmware and installed the latest driver but the problem remains.

Did canon send you a specific driver to use?

Thx
Filip
