To control plugged in ear/headphone in Windows System using  vb.net

I am currently working on a project. It is windows application built in vb.net. I need to control plugged in headphones (mute left/right ear increase/decrease volume/frequency) .

I'm a huge fan of NirSoft's (free!) utilities:
http://www.nirsoft.net/

One of them is NirCmd:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/nircmd.html

This will do exactly what you want. It is a small command-line utility to which you may make calls in VB.net. Regards, Joe
