simple windows bandwidth test log over time?

please recommend a simple windows tool to run an auto speed test over time, and keep a log of the results?  i need to see if things are slowing and when and for how long?  i have simple broadband connection, via wireless router.

you could schedule a ping or tracert to run and output that to a log file

so just schedule a windows task?  not sure how to do that, but sounds easy...

looking for a bat file that i can schedule to run, and append something to a log file.  

anyone got a simple bat file that keeps a log that would show us if the broadband connection was suffering during certain times?  maybe run every 10 or 30 min?
