I had a problem today where some of my users were not able to send emails by running workflows designed to send emails. I was able to run the same workflows and the emails sent just fine. These workflows always worked fine for everyone in the past. Version of Outlook and IE does not seem to matter.
I tried adjusting settings in IE for trusted sites, checking that Allow Outlook to send CRM email was checked, closing and reopening Outlook and rebooting clients. Finally I rebooted the server and this seems to have fixed the problem.
There were no entries in the Sent Items in Outlook or in the history in CRM for the EMails that did not send. There were no errors in the Event log on the server relating to CRM.
Does anybody know what may have caused this problem and why rebooting corrected it?
