Icons in My Computer display as.......

I can view Adobe scanned documents and see the Image in My computer as a thumbnail.  I cannot seem to replicate the sitaution on other PC's.  How do i control this?
I have turned on the Display as Icon in the options and this still is not working.
Most computers in the netwrok display a Icon that has the PDF and Adobe logo, but i lke to see th first page of the scan....What can I do?  Any ideas?

I found the answer posted about adobe and the file view.  In windows 7 64 bit there is a problem viewing as large icons, if you view the same location using adobe file open, the icon display as a image not as a application logo.  It is the work around provided by Adobe forums.

Does the following in Windows Explorer change anything?

Select TOOLS > Folder Options > View, and then un-ticked the top most item, "Always show icons, never thumbnails .

Also try the 'Display File icon on thumbnails' toggle.
